S1) Lead's left foot steps outward.

Lead and Follower continue Open Break.

S2) Lead and Follower continue Open Break.

Lead turns 45° CW as their right foot steps forward in front of their left foot.

Follower's left foot steps forward.

S3) Lead's left hand pulls Follower's right hand up and over Follower's head with a CCW motion. Hands are in Turn Hold.

Lead twists 90° CW on their right leg.

Follower Spins 180° CCW on the ball of their left foot, powered by their right foot.

S4) Pause.

S5) Lead turns 45° CW as their right foot foot swings backward and behind Lead's left foot.

Follower's left foot steps backward.

S6) Lead's left hand raises Follower's right hand allowing Lead to step under Lead's arm. Leads left elbow is high.

Lead's right hand touches Lead's left shoulder. Important - Lead's right arm must be kept close to Lead's body to avoid striking Follower.

Lead's left foot steps forward.

Follower's right foot steps forward.

S7) Lead Spins 180° CCW on the ball of their left foot, powered by their right foot.

Follower Spins 180° CW on the ball of their right foot, powered by their left foot.

S8) Pause.

  • Do not step too far back on S1 or S5 as this makes the steps forward on S2 and S6 less effective.
  • It is easier to get around each other if you keep fairly close together. Do not get too far apart with your arms outstretched.
  • In theory Follower moves backward and forward along a line, while Lead moves around Follower, but in practice Follower moves around the Lead a little also.
