Single Spins (CW & CCW) in Detail sn0082

  • These are general instructions on how to do Single Spins. The arm positions and signals required will be covered in the relevant moves' charts.
  • Bar 1 shows how to do a CCW Spin. Bar 2 shows how to do a CW Spin.
  • Only Follower's footwork is shown.
  • Lead's footwork is exactly the same but four beats ahead/behind Follower's footwork. So on the first beat (B1) Lead does Follower's fifth beat (B5) footwork.

Bar1.S1) Follower's right foot steps backward and Follower puts their weight onto their right foot.

Follower's left knee slightly bends as their left heel comes off the ground.

Bar1.S2) Follower rocks onto their left foot, and Follower puts their weight onto their left foot.

Follower's right knee slightly bends as their right heel comes off the ground.

Bar1.S3) Follower's right foot pushes on the ground causing Follower to Spin 360° CCW on the ball of their left foot.

Follower starts the Spin on Beat 2 and ends on Beat 3.

Remember - The diagrams for Step 2 show Follower's position on Beat 2 and; Step 3's diagrams show Follower's position on Beat 3.
